I have participated in two Seattle WA "World Naked Bike Ride" events and they were a BLAST!
I have also ridden my Recumbent naked on Olympia's "Chehalis Western Bicycle Trail"
In the WNBR,it's usually a group of about 100 men AND women,who band together and ride through Seattle naked on our bicycles in protest to america's dependence on foreign oil and the "naked vulnerability" of Cyclist's vs cars on america's roads. Our chant: "Less GAS More ASS" as we ride along naked is legendary! HUNDREDS of people clamor to grab their cell phones and camera's to take our picture as we go by! In fact.Iv'e never seen so many people lean out of car windows to snap a pic!
The ride was 100% Non sexual,there were gay,straight and bisexual men and women in that ride and everyone had ONE common ground,a total concern for the environment wich was being destroyed by the internal combustion engine and a freedom to bike the way nature had intended without the encumberement of clothing.In fact,I rode in both WNBR events with my younger brother who is also a "free spirit" like me.
Riding the Chehalis Western Trail naked was "interesting",I went on a school day to avoid encountering children during my ride
I had other riders pass me and most didn't even realise I was naked untill they took a "second look" the only comment was "you look comfortable". You see? IF you are "just out riding" and not being sexual(uh..like riding and jerkin it) people are usually pretty cool,at least in WA State..I wouldn't DARE try that HERE in Idaho though.
